The Bristol Borough Calendar

A non-profit Calendar is published in Bristol Borough that details scores of public events going on around town every month. In addition, it lists activities several months ahead, to aid in planning and make it easier for groups to choose dates for their functions that don’t conflict with others.

With the cooperation of over 100 local groups and the donation of time, services and money from almost a dozen committed individuals, the Bristol Borough Calendar is available free to everyone, all the time. A new calendar comes out around the 20th of each month, and it can be found in about 50 different locations in and around Bristol (see list below). It’s also available online (visit www.bbcommunitypartnership.org) and by low-cost mail subscription.

The goals of the Calendar are

1.      to make every group and event more successful by increasing awareness and attendance,

2.      to bring Bristolians out of their homes to take part in some of the incredibly varied activities going on here and nearby;

3.      to increase knowledge of, and pride in, just how much Bristol has to offer to its residents and its visitors; and

4.      to invite people who live outside the Borough to visit us more often.

 If you need any information, have a question, comment, or suggestion, or would like a sample copy mailed to you, contact us at bbcalendar@comcast.net, or at Calendar, 66 Ash Avenue, Bristol, PA 19007, or call (215) 826-9921, or fax (215) 788-1031. If you wish to submit listings, go to www.bbcommunitypartnership.org and click on the “Calendar” page. And if you’re interested in helping to produce or distribute the Calendar, let us know.

It costs nothing to list an event. If you’re in charge of getting the word out about your organization’s activities, and if the event is open to the public, make sure it’s listed in the Bristol Borough Calendar!

The Bristol Borough Calendar began in early 2007 as a project of the Bristol Borough Community Partnership and Bristol’s Revitalization Task Force. It is privately produced, independent of Bristol Borough government and major benefactors. Donations, in the form of personal messages or small ads, are welcome.
